The Missouri State High School Activities Association has been in close contact with school officials from all three high schools in the Ferguson/Florissant District and Jason West confirms to us that McCluer North, McCluer and McCluer South-Berkeley all plan to continue with their high school sporting events as scheduled.

“The games are still scheduled, the last we heard.  We have not gotten any updates yet this morning.  We trying to get with those schools to see where they are at with their plans,” said Jason West, Director of Communications for MSHSAA.

In regards to football, McCluer hosts Miller Career Academy on Friday night and McCluer South-Berkeley will play Cleveland NJROTC on Saturday at 11 a.m.

West says that MSHSAA would like to stay out of any decision making as to whether or not schools cancel their events.  He says they leave their trust in the schools’ hands for making the right call.
