Royals relief pitcher Jason Frasor struck out Minnesota’s Chris Colabello with the bases loaded in the sixth, then the offense went to work scoring three times in the bottom half of the inning.  The Royals came away with a 3-2 victory on Wednesday night.

Starter Danny Duffy walked a season high six batters, but only allowed one run in his 5.2 innings.  Duffy had to watch from the bench as Frasor helped him out.

Down 1-0, the Royals went to work on Twins starter Phil Hughes.  Omar Infante led off the sixth with a single and Salvador Perez started a string a three doubles to tie the game.  Alex Gordon followed with an RBI double to center, and Mike Moustakas hit another run-scoring double that made it just inside the first-base line to give the Royals a 3-1 lead.

Minnesota scored a run in the seventh, but Wade Davis worked a perfect eighth, and All-Star closer Greg Holland struck out Sam Fuld for his 28th save, after he uncorked two wild pitches that brought the tying run to third base.
