Alcides Escobar tied a career high with four RBIs on two doubles and Salvador Perez homered to give the Royals  a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Monday night.  Danny Duffy improved to 5-7 as he gave up one run and four hits while striking out three in 5.2 innings.  The Royals are getting hot again, winning three of their last four and are off to their best start since 2003.

Twins starter Yohan Pino gave up four runs and seven hits while also striking out three in 5.2 innings for the Twins. Eduardo Nunez had two hits and an RBI in his return from the disabled list for Minnesota.

Duffy got a little erratic in the sixth inning, but prior to that he was in shutdown mode.  After a one out single in the first, Duffy retired ten in a row and 12 of 13 batters allowing just a walk until a one out double in the bottom of the fifth. The Twins left two runners stranded from the 6th-9th innings, but failed to score as the bullpen held the Minnesota offense down.
