Jeremy Guthrie won his third in a row asĀ Jarrod Dyson drove in two runs off former Royal ace Zach Greinke as the Royals held on to beat the Dodgers 5-3 on Monday night in their first meeting in nine years.

Lorenzo Cain and Alcides Escobar, the two players the Royals acquired when they tradedĀ Greinke to Milwaukee in December 2010, drove in a run apiece and Salvador Perez homered.

In his third start against his former team, Greinke (9-4) gave up aĀ season-high five runs and 11 hits in 5 .2 innings. Ā  Guthrie pitched into the eighth andĀ gave up two runs and seven hits in 7.2 inningsĀ for the win. Ā Greg Holland gave up a solo homer to Adrian Gonzalez before picking up his 22nd save.
