Chiefs cornerback Sean Smith was cited for driving under the influence and careless driving after a Kansas City Police officer allegedly saw him drive his car into a light pole.  The incident happened early Monday morning.

Smith was at practice on Tuesday, but the 26 year old cornerback took most of his snaps with the second team.  The team said they are looking into the incident.

Smith signed a three-year deal worth $16.5 million with the Chiefs as a free agent last offseason. He had 47 tackles and two interceptions last season as the Chiefs, after spending his first four seasons with Miami.

The Chiefs started their third week of OTAs.
