High school baseball championships in O’Fallon continued on Wednesday. In the Class 3, third place game, Fatima beat Central New Madrid, 6-4. Fatima finishes the season 22-9. Central 14-13. In the Class 3 championship game, Springfield Catholic scored a run in the first, two more in the second and five in the third to open up an 8-0 lead on Christian, who cut that lead to 8-3, but that’s the way it ended. Tyler Ast drove in three runs and pitched a complete game for Springfield Catholic.

In the Class 1 semifinal games, Cooter got past Dadeville, 7-5, after Dadeville went up 4-1 in the second, Cooter responded with five in the bottom of the inning to grab the lead. Cole Crowder led the way with three RBIs. Northeast Cairo beat New Franklin 12-6, only six of those dozen runs were earned as New Franklin committed six errors. The Class 1 third place game is at 10:30 a.m. and the championship game at 1 p.m, then Class 4 semifinals this afternoon and tonight. Westminster Christian Academy vs. St. Mary/St. Louis and Logan Rogersville vs. Pembroke Hill.
