Lance Lynn entered Monday night’s game with an ERA well over six.  Yet, he struck out 11 and allowed three hits over seven innings in a 4-0 Cardinals victory, snapping the Brewers nine-game winning streak in Milwaukee. The Brewers are 10-3, off to their best start since 1987 when they went 13-0 to start that season.

Jhonny Peralta hit a solo shot in the second off Brewers starter Matt Garza, and Jon Jay added the cushion with a three-run homer in the sixth. Reliever Carlos Martinez threw the eighth and ninth to wrap up the victory.
