Mizzou

The Mizzou Football team held its second major scrimmage of spring camp this weekend at Faurot Field, but much of the focus for head coach Gary Pinkel, after the scrimmage, was answering questions on how he handled the dismissal of Dorial Green-Beckham and what happens to the team as a result.

Two main points of emphasis that Pinkel pointed out.  The first is making sure Green-Beckham gets the help he needs.  Pinkel said he loves him and feels a fresh start may help him acheive his future goals (the NFL).  The second point was Pinkel saying he needs to make sure the integrity of the football program remains intact.

As far as the scrimmage, it was another close battle between the offense and defense, with sophomore CB Aarion Penton intercepting a pass at the goal line to end things, and give the defense an 18-16 win.

Mizzou holds their final two practices on Tuesday and Thursday before the Black & Gold Spring Game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
