Damage assessment teams from the National Weather Service are following-up on Thursday’s severe weather looking for evidence of tornadoes.

A team from the Springfield NWS office has found no such evidence in Hickory County, where a tornado warning was issued around noon yesterday. That team will also travel to the Osage Beach area and Osage County.

Assessors from the Paducah weather service office will investigate damage reports in counties in the Bootheel, but with several reports to check in the other states they cover, it could be Monday before they are in Missouri.

The Weather Service Office in St. Louis says there have been no reports made to them of damage indicative of a tornado in St. Louis Thursday, so no team has gone out.
