With a number one seed all wrapped up for the NCAA Tournament, just how motivated will Florida be to win the SEC Tournament which starts tonight in Atlanta, Ga.  Kevin McCrarey of SportsTalkSC.com tells us he believes Billy Donovan will have his team ready to play hard the whole weekend, but wouldn’t be surprised if Kentucky got hot at the right time.

Could a team like Missouri catch the Gators coming off an emotional win at home against Kentucky last Saturday? Hey stranger things have happened.

SEC Tournament Bracket

The Southeastern Conference unveiled its men’s basketball coaches’ postseason awards and Florida’s Billy Donovan earned SEC Coach of the Year honors while Florida senior Scottie Wilbekin was selected the SEC Player of the Year by the league’s coaches. Florida’s Patric Young earned SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and SEC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Kentucky’s Julius Randle took home SEC Freshman of the Year and Florida’s Dorian Finney-Smith was tabbed SEC Sixth Man of the Year.

This is the second consecutive SEC Coach of the Year honor for Donovan, who led the Gators to an SEC record 18 wins in league play and a 29-2 overall record. The Gators earned their fifth SEC championship under his direction and the sixth in school history.
