According to a report from PowerMizzou.com, Missouri head football coach Gary Pinkel and his assistant coaches will soon be getting raises. Pinkel is expected to receive a contract that will pay him at least $3 million per year. Raises for his assistant coaches are expected to come with this deal as well.

A curators meeting is scheduled for Wednesday (3/5) at which time the topic will brought up and voted upon.

Pinkel’s current contract pays an annual guaranteed salary of $2.35 million and runs through the 2017 season. This past season he led Mizzou to a 12-2 record, including an SEC championship game berth and a Cotton Bowl championship. Pinkel also won his 102nd game at the University of Missouri, which is tops all-time at the program.

According to USA Today stats, Pinkel and his staff currently rank tenth in the SEC in total salaries.
