House Budget Chair talks legislative effort to stem tobacco settlement cuts (VIDEO)

Missouri budget planners learned in September the state had lost $70-million in tobacco settlement money due to a court ruling regarding enforcement of tobacco laws in 2003. 

House Budget Committee Chairman Rick Stream (R-Kirkwood) says more losses could be coming tied to the years 2004 through 2010.  He has legislation related to the issue, HB 1242.
