The state House and Senate honored the Mizzou volleyball team today for its 35-1 SEC Championship season. Both chambers presented the team and its coach with resolutions marking their success in 2013.
In a statement, head coach Wayne Kreklow called the legislature’s recognition, “a big deal for our program.”
“I really felt that with the success that we had this season,” Kreklow continues, “We captured the heart of our state for a couple of months. It was evident in the support that we saw from our community and for us to asked to be recognized by the folks in Jefferson City is really humbling. I think it will be a great experience for our kids.”
