Mizzou Basketball looks for its third consecutive win on Wednesday as the Tigers host the Vanderbilt Commodores at Mizzou Arena. Mizzou and Vandy are tied for fifth in the SEC standings. Vandy has won four of their last six games, including a 57-54 overtime win against Texas A&M, while the Tigers are looking for three consecutive league wins before hitting the road this weekend at Alabama.

Mizzou had one of its most balanced efforts of the season in the win over Tennessee. Jabari Brown led the Tigers with 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting and post players Johnathan Williams III, Torren Jones and Keanau Post combined to hit 9-of-11 field goal attempts for 22 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.

The last time out against Vandy, they were 12 of 23 from three-point range and Mizzou is in the middle of the pack in three point defense. Despite, being one of the better +/- rebounding teams, Adam Stillman of the Jefferson City News Tribune thinks it’s lack of effort at times that allows teams to get open looks on Missouri.

In the first half at Florida, they had several wide open looks, but didn’t hit their three-point attempts.  Tennessee also had a lot of open looks.  Is Adam correct in his assessment?
