No. 13 Saint Louis set a school record with their 15th straight victory, the latest coming at Saint Joseph, with a 65-49 win Wednesday night. The Billikens got a game-high 17 points from senior forward Rob Loe.  The win improves the Billikens’ record to 21-2 overall and 8-0 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. SLU continues its best-ever start to a season. SJU came into tonight having won eight of its last ten.

Loe, who was coming off a career-high 23 points in the Billikens’ last outing against George Mason, was 4-of-7 from the field (3-of-5 from 3-point range) and hit all six of his free throws.  Senior guard Jordair Jett scored 10 points and added seven assists, while senior guard Mike McCall Jr. and sophomore guard Austin McBroom chipped in nine points apiece.

“We were exceptional defensively tonight,” SLU head coach Jim Crews said. “We played great team defense. Our guys did a great job anticipating things and disrupting their flow. We played extremely well. I thought we also played equally as well on offense as we did on defense.”

SLU remains in Philadelphia to face La Salle Saturday in a 4 p.m. (CT) tip at Tom Gola Arena. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
