Not to jump ahead for the Missouri men’s basketball team, because they still have a tough opponent waiting this Saturday at noon when the Tigers host Kentucky, but next Tuesday’s road trip to Florida just got a little tougher.

The Gators, 17-2, 6-0 in the SEC, will have highly touted freshman Chris Walker eligible to play. The NCAA investigated his amateur status and after finding that Walker received preferential treatment from two agents and received $270, he’ll be allowed to return to the team and make his debut against Mizzou.

The 6’11 Walker was ranked 12th in the 2013 recruiting class.

“We’re glad there’s a resolution for everyone involved, especially for Chris,” Gators coach Billy Donovan said in a statement. “We appreciate everyone’s participation in this process and are ready to move forward.”

The Gators are already strong up front with Patric Young and Will Yeguete, but Walker gives Donovan another defensive body to already go up against an offensively challenged front court for the Tigers.
