Missouri State was up 66-63 with just under six minutes to play on the road at Drake, but the Bulldogs went on a 16-2 run and go on to beat the Bears 84-74. Missouri State shot 50% and had a season low six turnovers…not a bad game for Paul Lusk’s squad who drops to 14-7 and 4-5 in conference play.

MSU went ahead 66-63 on a pair of free throws by Nathan Scheer with 5:37 before Drake’s run. Jordan Daniels, who finished with 22 points for DU, had 8 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, as the Bulldogs ahead by 11 just over four minutes later to steal the victory in a game with 17 lead changes and 9 ties.

Austin Ruder scored a career-high 21 for the Bears behind 6-of-9 from 3-point range, while Ron Mvouika added 13, and Jarmar Gulley scored 12 for his seventh straight double-figure scoring game.

Missouri State returns to JQH Arena Saturday afternoon at 2:05 p.m. to face Bradley.
