Outside of the ugly uniforms they marched some of the NFL’s best players in, the Pro Bowl was much more improved than the debacle that occurred last year.  Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith threw a 20 yard touchdown pass in the final minute and a two-point conversion gave Team Rice a 22-21 win over Team Sanders in a revamped Pro Bowl where players were drafted, and teammates made great plays against each other.

Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson delivered a big hit on his teammate running back Jamaal Charles. Johnson was named one of the game’s defensive MVPs. Charles was caught off guard, but not mad.

“I didn’t expect it, but he’s out there doing his thing. I can’t get mad at him — it’s just about football, and you’ve just got to be ready,” said Charles.

Rams defensive end Robert Quinn disrupted plays including a Phillip Rivers pass that was tipped and picked off by Chiefs lineman Dontari Poe who returned it 42 yards, coming up seven yards short of a pick six.
