Dennis “Slick” Lilly escaped MSP by posing as a guard. Authorities in Washington are conducting DNA testing on remains found underneath a woodshed in the town of Gold Bar to see if they are his.

The Everett, Washington Herald reports Lilly is now believed to have been living in Gold Bar with his wife, Mary. They were using the names Dave and Amanda Murray. She tells authorities he died in 2012 from pancreatic cancer and says she buried him in the yard.

Lilly had been in the Missouri prison for robbery, burglary, car theft and aggravated assault on a police officer.

The Herald reports the couple had become respected business owners in Washington State, with Lilly even posing as Santa Claus with children in the area.
