Mike McCall scored 13 points, including two free throws with 13 seconds remaining, to help the 19th ranked Saint Louis Billikens slip past Duquesne 76-72 on Wednesday night. SLU reserve forward Grandy Glaze added 12 points and Rob Loe had 10 as the Billikens (18-2, 5-0 Atlantic 10), won their 12th straight game.

SLU was down 72-70 after Duquesne’s Jeremiah Jones hit two free throws with 57 seconds to play. Austin McBroom hit a three-pointer that put the Billikens back on top with a 73-72 lead with 47 seconds left.  The Dukes had a chance to take the lead with 13 seconds remaining, but Dominique McKoy missed a reverse layup. McCall rebounded and was fouled, and he made two free throws to seal the victory for Saint Louis.

With the win, head coach Jim Crews picked up his 400th career victory. SLU has a week off before they play Richmond next Wednesday at home.
