Could Kony Ealy being playing pro ball in the same stadium he won a Cotton Bowl championship?
For those of you who into NFL Mock Drafts, I wanted to share what I’m seeing from some of the draft boards I follow. Sorry, not paying for ESPN’s Insider to get Mel Kiper’s stuff. He’s out…we’ll hear enough from him on TV.
After searching different sources, Ealy is as high as 11th on one board, and as low as 27th, but I’m seeing a trend of 17th to Dallas.
Scott Wright of DraftCountdown.com calls Ealy the next in an impressive string of defensive lineman at Missouri, going all the way back to Justin Smith, and including Aldon and Sheldon Richardson. Wright points out the obvious that Michael Sam may have had better numbers, but Ealy possesses the physical characteristics to be successful in the NFL.
