Dillon Deck had 20 points and 12 rebounds to help lead Central Missouri to an 81-63 win over Missouri Western on Wednesday night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The win improves UCM’s record to 14-3 overall and 6-2 in MIAA play.

The Mules were recently ranked in the Top 25 before losing over the weekend.

UCM pushed the lead to 13 on a couple of different occasions, but a 12-4 run by the Griffons made it a four point game with 5:09 to play, but a three-point from Ryan Magdziarz ignited a 15-4 run for Central Missouri.

Central Missouri iced the game away at the free throw line and secured the 18-point win.

On the women’s side, the eighth-ranked Jennies got back on the winning track, defeating visiting Missouri Western, 71-65 at the Multipurpose Building on Wednesday night. Junior forward Revonnia Howard scored a career-best 23 points, eight of them coming in the first four minutes of the game, to push the Jennies (13-2, 7-1 MIAA) ahead early, 12-2.

The win was the Jennies’ 12th-straight victory against Missouri Western.
