December 30, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Rams quarterback Kellen Clemens completed 21 of 30 passes for 157 yards, with one touchdown, but he also threw two interceptions as the Rams lost the season finale at Seattle for the second straight season, 27-9. Offensively, the Rams couldn’t generate much offense against Seattle who gained homefield advantage through the NFC playoffs.

The Rams were held to just 13 yards rushing. Rookie Zac Stacy who fell short in his bid to become just the third Rams rookie to rush for 1,000 yards, finishing with 973.

Seattle’s Malcolm Smith returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to get Seattle started, and Marshawn Lynch added a 2-yard scoring run in the second half. Lynch finished with 97 yards rushing.

Defensive end Robert Quinn grabbed his 19th sack of the season to increase his own team record and good for tops in the NFC. He finished second in the NFL behind Indianapolis’ Robert Mathis, who picked up up two sacks to finish with 19.5.
