–Mizzou got the ball to the start the game and went three and out. The punt was short giving Auburn the ball at their own 40.

–Nick Marshall was sacked on his first carry by Kony Ealy. On 2nd and 13, Matt Hoch recovered a Marshall fumble giving Mizzou the ball at the Auburn 43. It’s the 43rd straight game the defense has created a turnover.

–Henry Josey picked up a 16 yard gain to give Mizzou a first down at the 27. On a 3rd and 7, James Franklin missed on a pass to Jimmy Hunt. Andrew Baggett hit a 42 yard field goal to put Mizzou up 3-0 with 10:50 to play.

–Auburn started their second drive at their own 25. Tre Mason gained 19 yards on a 2nd and 3 and Nick Marshall followed with a 12 yard pickup. Another long run by Marshall was called back after Kony Ealy was held. Marshall hit Sammie Coates for a 38 yard touchdown pass. Good coverage by the Mizzou secondary, but Marshall made a great throw. 7-3 Auburn with 8:22 to play.

–Dorial Green-Beckham had a 16 yard catch to give Mizzou a first down. Franklin found L’Damian Washington for a first down pass as well. On a 2nd and 8 from the Auburn 31, Mizzou was called for a false start on Max Copeland. After a quick strike to Bud Sasser, Franklin found DGB in single coverage for a 28 yard TD pass. 10-7 Mizzou took the lead with 5:40 to play in the quarter.

–Marshall used a 54 yard screen pass to Sammie Coates to set up a touchdown run by Marshall to make it 14-10. Marshall’s nine yard run put Auburn up just 1:31 after Missouri took the lead. Auburn kicked an onside kick and was faced with a 4th and 5 from Mizzou’s 37. Gus Malzahn lined up to go for it, called a timeout, then had his kicker miss a 54 yard field goal attempt wide right.

–On Mizzou’s next possession, Franklin converted on a 4th and 1, then Josey peeled off at 24 yard game getting the Tigers back down to the Auburn 20. A false start put Mizzou at 1st and 15 to end the quarter.
