I would say the Auburn Tigers have momentum on their side. Whether you call it luck, magic, or making the most of an opportunity, Auburn players believe they belong in the SEC Championship game. They expect to win and can’t be stopped and feel that they should be playing for a BCS title game. (Overlooking Missouri already?)
The Missouri Tigers came into this season with a chip on their shoulders. Some players downplayed that as motivation, but as the season wore on, that talking point would slip out little by little. Mizzou is playing for respect. Despite being 11-1, they feeling like they’ve been the underdogs the whole season. Now, they’re in a position to prove their point.
