Mizzou running back Henry Josey enters the SEC championship game ranked ninth in the conference with 79.2 yards per game. He’s just 41 yards away from topping 1,000 and his 13 touchdowns are tied for third in the league. As a team, Mizzou is second behind Auburn in league rushing. I asked Josey about all the attention Auburn is getting and if he uses it as motivation.

“I take it personal,” said Josey. “Being the best running back corp and that is something I preached to my guys all week and we will get our job done.”

One of the reasons for Missouri’s success is that the team has never been satisfied with where they’re at. While Josey says the team is happy with each win, it just moves them closer to their ultimate goals, which are championships. Earlier this week, head coach Gary Pinkel spoke about the senior leaders raising the bar.
