K.C. police confirm two in custody after man dies in Arrowhead parking lot (AUDIO)

December 2, 2013 By Bill Pollock

A man in his 20’s was killed in a fight after he was caught in someone else’s vehicle outside Arrowhead Stadium during the Chiefs-Broncos game, during an apparent bungled break-in Lot A. Kansas City spokesman Darin Sapp confirmed two people are in custody and several witnesses were interviewed. It’s being investigated as a homicide, but Sapp said police are still trying to determine if this is a case of self-defense or a homicide.

The incident does not appear to be related to the rivalry between the Chief and Broncos. The death happened exactly one year to the day after Javon Belcher killed his girlfriend Casandra Perkins at their home and then shot himself at the Chiefs training facility in front of team personnel.
