Huntsville Police Chief’s death under investigation

November 27, 2013 By Mike Lear

The Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation of the death of the police chief in a small north-central Missouri town.

Long-time Huntsville Police Chief William “Buddy” Stuck was found dead at his home this morning. Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols says his Department was called to Stuck’s home shortly before 5:30 this morning.

“An officer responded and found Chief Stuck deceased at his residence. At this point the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating the incident.”

Nichols says he wanted the Patrol involved in the investigation because of the additional resources it can employ.

No preliminary finding on the cause of death is being released. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday.
