Auburn moved up to No. 4 in both the writer’s and coaches polls which will set up just the second top-five matchup with Alabama in the history of the Iron Bowl. The winner next Saturday claims the SEC West Division title. The Missouri Tigers, are fifth in both polls, needing a win against Texas A&M to win the East and punch their ticket to Atlanta, GA.

No. 2 Florida State actually received four first-place votes despite an easy win over Idaho. Again, the rationale used by voters continues to baffle me. Ohio State is back to No. 3 after Baylor lost 49-17 at Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are No. 7. The Bears No. 9.

In the USA Today and Harris polls, the two human polls that are actually used in the BCS Standings, Clemson is No. 4, with Auburn and Missouri close behind. The BCS standings are released tonight at 7:30 CT. Follow updates tonight on Twitter @Missourisports.
