Mizzou vs Ole Miss 3rd Quarter Summary

-Ole Miss receives the kickoff to start the second half and they start their first drive of the half at their own 22 yard line and they need just 4 plays to go 78 yards and make it 17-10 on a 45 yard touchdown run by I’Tavius Mathers.

-On Missouri’s next possession the offense fails to gain a first down but a fake punt results in a 26 yard first down run by Harold Brantley.  The Tigers can’t take advantage of the big play as James Franklin throws into coverage and has his pass intercepted.  Ole Miss starts at their own 43 yard line

-The Mizzou defense steps up and forces a three and out and after a punt the Tigers get the ball at their own 15 with 10:02 left in the quarter.

-The Tigers put together an 8 play, 85 yard drive with James Franklin making a couple of solid throws to L’Damian Washington and then Henry Josey taking it into the endzone with an 11 yard run.  6:56 left in the quarter and Missouri leads 24-10.

-The Rebels start their next drive at their own 20 yard line and they go three and out and are forced to punt.  Mizzou starts at their own 24 yard line with 5:36 left in the quarter.

-Missouri would get to midfield but the drive stalls there and the Tigers punt.   Ole Miss gets the ball at their own 20 yard line with 2:37 left in the quarter.

-The Rebels can’t get anything going on offense once again as the Missouri defense forces another three and out.  Following a punt the Tigers take over at their own 18 yard line with :50 seconds left in the quarter.

-James Franklin rushes for 12 yards and a first down to the Tigers 30 yard line and that brings the third quarter to a close.
