November 23, 2013 By Missourinet Sports

-Ole Miss wins the coin toss but defers to the second half giving Missouri the first possession of the game and they quickly go 72 yards in 8 plays and score a touchdown when Henry Josey takes it in from 4 yards out.  Josey 5 carries for 37 yards on the drive. James Franklin 3/3 for 35 yards.  Marcus Lucas 2 catches for 32 yards.  Tigers lead 7-0 with 12:15 left in the quarter.

-Ole Miss starts their first drive at their own 25 yard line and they advance to their own 42 before the Tigers defense creates a turnover when Randy Ponder picks off Bo Wallace to give Mizzou the ball at the Ole Miss 39 yard line.

-The Tigers fail to take advantage of the turnover as a penalty and a Franklin fumble that was recovered by Mizzou forces a punt.  The Rebels start their next possession at their own 9 yard line.

-The Rebels move the ball efficiently and convert on a pair of third and longs to keep the drive alive.  The quarter ends with the Rebels facing 4th and goal at the Missouri 1 yard line.
