The seventh-ranked Mizzou volleyball team improved to 31-0 following a 3-0 victory over South Carolina, (25-13, 25-13, 25-16), on Sunday afternoon. The win ups Mizzou to 15-0 in SEC play and are now just one win shy of clinching the school’s first-ever SEC Championship.

The Tigers showed no signs of being flat after an emotional vicotry at fifth-ranked Florida on Friday.

“A lot of times, teams can be sluggish or lose focus after a win like that but I thought we did a good job of coming out and setting the tone early,” head coach Wayne Kreklow told MUTigers.com. “We now have a chance to do something pretty special Friday against Mississippi State, so I hope we can get a huge crowd at the Hearnes Center.”

The Tigers next match is this Friday at home with the first serve scheduled for 6:30 p.m. A win over the Bulldogs secures the regular season championship.
