-Kentucky starts the quarter with the ball at their own 27 yard line and they proceed to go on a 13 play, 73 yard drive that features 11 running plays and 2 passes. Quarterback Jalen Whitlow caps the drive with a one yard touchdown run. With 9:24 left in the quarter Missouri leads 28-10.
-Mizzou starts their first possession of the third quarter at their own 30 yard line and quickly go three and out giving the ball back to Kentucky following a punt. The Wildcats start at their own 5 after the Brinser punt of 61 yards.
-On second down the Wildcats get a 40 yard completion from Jalen Whitlow to Raymond Sanders but he fumbles on the play after a hit by Wilson. The Tigers recover the fumble and start at the Kentucky 44 yard line.
-Maty Mauk runs for 19 yards and then finds Dorial Green-Beckham on a 22 yard touchdown pass. It is Mauk’s 4th touchdown pass of the day and the 3rd to Green-Beckham. The Tigers go on top 35-10 with 6:13 left in the quarter.
-Kentucky starts their next drive at their own 25 yard line and they quickly get deep into Missouri territory with a 53 yard pass from Jalen Whitlow to Javess Blue. On first and goal at the one yard line Raymond Sanders runs it in and the Mizzou lead is shaved to 35-17 with 2:03 left in the quarter.
-Missouri’s John Gibson then gives the Tigers great field position with a 62 yard kickoff return to the Kentucky 32 yard line. The Tigers move the ball to the Kentucky 7 yard line and face a 4th and 3 when the quarter ends.
