Mizzou vs Kentucky 2nd Quarter Summary

-On the first play of the quarter the Tigers  Levi Copeland blocks a punt and Mizzou takes over at the Kentucky four yard line.  One play later Henry Josey scores on a four yard run and Missouri goes up 14-3.

-Kentucky starts their next drive at their own 25 yard line.  After a first down the Tigers record back to back sacks by Lucas Vincent and Shane Ray to end the drive.  After a Wildcat punt Missouri starts their next drive at their own 33 yard line leading 14-3 with 12:19 left in the quarter.

-Mizzou puts together a solid drive kept alive on 3rd and 12 on a terrific run after the catch by Dorial Green-Beckham.   Later in the drive Maty Mauk finds Bud Sasser for a 29 yard completion on 3rd and 8.   The drive ends with Maty Mauk to Dorial Green-Beckham for their second touchdown of the day.  This one is a 7 yard completion and the Tigers lead it 21-3 with 8:12 left in the quarter.

-Kentucky is able to gain one first down but can’t keep the drive alive and they punt to the Tigers who start their next drive at their own 13 yard line.

-The Tigers then put together a 15 play, 87 yard drive that results in a touchdown pass from Maty Mauk to Henry Josey.  Mizzou converts three third downs and one fourth down on the drive.  Missouri 28 Kentucky 3

-The Wildcats get the ball at their own 30 yard line with 1:31 left in the quarter and can’t do anything with it.   Kentucky punts and after the Tigers receive the ball they take a knee and let the first half clock expire.
