A House Committee is going to look into reports of a hostile workplace in agencies in the Nixon Administration.

House Speaker Tim Jones (R-Eureka) has asked the House Government Oversight and Accountability Committee to hold a hearing on the issue. Former employees in the Departments of Agriculture and Labor have recently made public complaints of intimidation and discrimination by former department directors. The Missouri Cattlemen’s Association also says the agriculture department’s former director made threats against its executive vice president.

The committee is chaired by Representative Jay Barnes (R-Jefferson City). Its previous investigations have included state’s role in a failed project to build a sucralose factory at Moberly and the release of a list of Missouri concealed carry permit holders to federal agencies.
