A club record three Kansas City Royals – left fielder Alex Gordon, first baseman Eric Hosmer and catcher Salvador Perez – have won American League Gold Glove Awards. Gordon became the first Royal to win three-straight since second baseman Frank White won six-straight, from 1977-82. He tied for the major league’s lead of 17 outfield assists. Hosmer was fourth in fielding percentage, but had the second most opportunities. Perez threw out 35.2% of his base stealers, second best in baseball, behind Yadier Molina of the Cardinals. Molina threw out 43.5% of base stealers won his sixth Gold Glove. Adam Wainwright won his second Gold Glove Award. This is the second time Molina and Wainwright share the honors…the battery mates won in 2009. Molina joins four other Cardinals to win at least six Gold Gloves. Can you name the other four?
