-South Carolina would give the ball back to Missouri with 12:30 left in the quarter when Mike Davis fumbles on a 3rd and 2 at the Tigers 31 yard line.  Markus Golden recovers the fumble and Mizzou takes over.  The fumble was forced on a tackle by Matt White.  It marks the 38th straight game the Tigers have forced a turnover which is the longest streak in the nation.

-The Tigers were moving the ball on the ground with Henry Josey but a holding penalty followed by a delay of game penalty pushed them back to their own 42 yard line facing a 1st and 25.   Mizzou can’t overcome the penalties and punt to the Gamecocks who take over at their own 27 yard line with 9:01 left in the quarter.

-South Carolina puts together an impressive drive that reaches the Missouri two yard line for a first and goal but Mike Davis fumbles for the second time in the game.  Kony Ealy recovers the fumble that was forced by Matt Hoch.  5:46 left in the quarter and the Tigers continue to lead 7-0.

-On 3rd and 8 from the Tigers 4 yard line Maty Mauk finds L’Damian Washington for a  96 yard touchdown pass to put Mizzou up 14-0 with 4:16 left in the quarter.

-South Carolina starts at their own 25 yard line and the Tigers defense comes up with another turnover when John Gibson intercepts a pass at the Missouri 10 with 3:42 left in the quarter.

-The Tigers would move the ball but a South Carolina sack causes the drive to stall and a Mizzou punt sets South Carolina up at their own 14 yard line.

-South Carolina would face a 4th and 1 at their own 34 yard line and would surprise many and go for it.  Shane Ray would stop Dylan Thompson on the QB keeper and the Tigers take over at the Gamecocks 34 yard line with under a minute to play in the quarter.

-Missouri can’t do anything with the possession and after a punt the Gamecocks elect to run out the clock to take it to the half.
