-Missouri receives the opening kickoff and starts at their own 24 yard line and it takes the Tigers 2 plays to score a touchdown. Maty Mauk to L’Damian Washington for 41 yards and after a targeting penalty on Florida’s Cody Riggs, Mauk hits Bud Sasser for a 20 yard touchdown to put Mizzou up 7-0 just :22 seconds into the game.
-Florida takes over and goes three and out but on the punt Missouri’s Marcus Murphy fumbles and Florida recovers to keep the ball. They eventually have to settle for a 23 yard field goal from Austin Hardin to make it 7-3 Missouri
-On the Tigers next possession they pick up one first down via penalty but have to punt from their own 32 yard line and Florida takes over.
-The Gators drive starts at their own 35 with 9:31 left in the quarter and the Mizzou defense gets the stop on 3rd and 4 to force a punt that rolls into the end zone giving the Tigers the ball at their own 20 yard line
-The Tigers drive stalls quickly after a botched option play and Florida takes over at their own 33 yard line after the Mizzou punt
-Florida immediately faces a 3rd and 10 but an 11 yard pass from Murphy to Patton results in a first down. The Tigers then end the Gators drive when Aarion Penton intercepts a pass after it goes through the arms of Demarcus Robinson. Missouri drive starts at the Gators 44 yard line
-The Tigers capitalize on the interception with a 43 yard field goal from Andrew Baggett to go up 10-3 with :31 seconds left in the quarter
-Florida starts at their own 25 yard line late in the quarter and the quarter ends with the Gators facing 2nd and 10
