Jack Clark’s attorney challenges Pujols to a lie-detector test

October 14, 2013 By Bill Pollock

Retired baseball player and former St. Louis radio host Jack Clark is swinging back at Angel’s first baseman, Albert Pujols.  After being served with a defamation lawsuit brought by Pujols, Clark’s legal counsel, Albert S. Watkins issued a letter proposing the two take lie detector tests.  That letter was made public today in a press release provided by Clark’s counsel.

In his letter to Pujols’ attorney, Watkins adds that if the proposal is not accepted within ten days, he has been “instructed to vigorously proceed with what inevitably will be a highly charged, entertaining and public spectacle.”

As if this hasn’t already been a public spectacle.  Click below to read the letter and the formal complaint against Clark, filed by Pujols’ attorney.
