If Missouri football wants to gain any sort of respect from around the SEC, they need to start this Saturday at 11 a.m. CT when they kickoff with Georgia. After getting knocked around last season, the Tigers have a chance to prove they can compete for the SEC East.

The days of should’ve, would’ve, could’ve need to end and not just this week. Georgia comes into this game reeling. They narrowly escaped Knoxville. They young defense is a question mark and Aaron Murray will be without 4-5 key weapons. The Tigers need to go on the road and beat a top 10 team…something it hasn’t done since 1981.

Then, without trying to look to far ahead, they need to come home and take care of Florida and South Carolina. The Tigers may not have the depth yet to consider running the table, but they’re healthy and have the top end talent that they can string some wins together.  The opportunity to do so can happen in the month of October.

Will and Matt from affiliate KTGR, Columbia join me again as we talk about how Mizzou can get the job done.
