The 25th-ranked Mizzou volleyball team matched history on Tuesday night as it beat Austin Peay, 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-12), to move to 19-0 on the season, matching the program record for consecutive wins to open a season. The 19-0 record ties the mark set by the 1982 team and the 2013 Tigers will go for a program best 20th win Friday at Tennessee.

“Obviously it is great to match the record, but it isn’t something that we talk about a lot,” head coach Wayne Kreklow said after the match. “I think this team has its goals set much higher than just 19 wins.”

Mizzou’s 19th win on Tuesday matches its win total from a season ago.
