Mizzou at Vanderbilt 3rd Quarter Summary

-Vanderbilt opens the second half with the ball at their own 25 yard line and roll down the field to score a touchdown on a 26 yard pass from Carta-Samuels to Jordan Matthews.  Mizzou 30 Vanderbilt 14 with 12:03 left in the quarter

-The Tigers start at their own 25 yard line and they put together a solid drive to answer the opening drive of the Commodores.  Mizzou goes 75 yards on 14 plays and Henry Josey scores on a 1 yard touchdown run.  A big play in the drive was the ability of the Tigers to convert a 4th and 1 at the Vanderbilt 8 yard line when Josey rushed for 3 yards.  Mizzou 37 Vanderbilt 14 with 7:16 left in the quarter

-The Commodores start at their own 24 yard line and they make quick work of the Mizzou defense marching 76 yards in 8 plays with Carta-Samuels scoring a touchdown on a 2 yard run.  With 3:19 left in the quarter the Commodores cut the Tigers lead to 37-21

-Mizzou starts their drive at their own 25 yard line and once again they answer a Vanderbilt touchdown with one of their own.  This one comes when James Franklin threads the needle to Marcus Lucas for a 15 yard score.  It is Franklin’s 3rd touchdown pass of the night

-Vanderbilt begins their next drive at their own 12 yard line after a holding penalty on the kickoff return.  They advance to their own 30 yard line as the quarter comes to an end.

End 3rd Quarter: Missouri 44 Vanderbilt 21
