Mizzou junior defensive lineman Markus Golden (St. Louis, Mo.) was named the Southeastern Conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Week. Golden’s pick-six touchdown put the Tigers up 24-9 with 11:40 left in the third quarter.  Golden rushed and put pressure on Toledo quarterback Terrance Owens who he lost control of the football while attempting a pass. Golden snatched the ball out of the air while he pushed Owens out of the way, allowing him open field as he raced 70 yards for the score.  The Tigers held onto win 38-23 after Toledo narrowed the score to 24-23.

Mizzou (2-0) has a bye week before returning to action at Indiana on Sept. 21 (7 p.m.)
