The Webb City High School football team saw their 91-game regular season win streak come to an end on Friday night, losing 42-35 at Arkansas Class 7A Har-Ber, Springdale. Webb City had leads of 28-7 in the second period and 35-14 in the third quarter, but Har-Ber quarterback Kyle Pianalto rallied his team back.
Pianalto threw for 294 yards and helped Har-Ber rush for 365.  Nose guard Josh Frazier, 6’4, 330 pounds,  recovered a fumble with 8:29 in the fourth quarter of a tied game, which set up the winning TD drive for a team that has quite a few Division-I college prospects.  Har-Ber is ranked as one of the top teams in several polls and rankings.  The Wildcats are first overall in Arkansas, according to the Democrat-Gazette. Athlon Sports’ High School Football already has the Wildcats ranked first, and Rivals.com ranks them 98th in its Preseason Top 100.
Webb City quarterback Devin Pickett ran for 124 yards and found receiver Kiante Hardin for a 65-yard scoring pass. Trent Parra returned an interception 102 yards for a touchdown. Kyle Baldassarre rushed for 95 yards and Trey Parra rushed for 78 yards, as Webb City finished with close to 300 yards rushing and threw for 78 net.
Last season, Webb City beat Har-Ber at home 30-15, after jumping out to a 23-0 lead. Â This game, there was no stopping the Wildcats strong second half comeback.
Class 4 Webb City, had not lost a regular-season game since Oct. 17, 2003.
