Here is a summary of the second quarter as Toledo takes on Mizzou at Faurot Field

Mizzou starts the quarter with the ball but James Franklin is intercepted by Jordan Martin with 13:51 left in the quarter.

Toledo begins a drive at midfield and they need 8 plays to move the ball 21 yards and set up a 46 yard field goal by Jeremiah Detmer to make it Missouri 10 Toledo 6 with 8:50 left in the quarter.

Missouri’s next drive starts at their own 18 yard line.  Maty Mauk plays this series in place of James Franklin and he is sacked twice forcing a punt.

Toledo would start their drive at the Missouri 26 yard line after a 29 yard punt return by Bernard Reedy… The Rockets then get the 3rd field goal of the day from Jeremiah Detmer to make it Missouri 10 Toledo 9 with 4:57 left in the quarter.

Mizzou would start their next drive at their own 25 yard line and would drive 75 yards on 10 plays and score a touchdown when James Franklin hits Dorial Green-Beckham with a 9 yard pass to give Missouri a 17-9 lead with 1:14 left in the quarter.

The Rockets get the ball back and efficiently use the clock to reach the Missouri 3 yard line with :07 seconds left but the Tigers defense makes a big play when Matt White intercepts a pass by Terrance Owens to end the half.

Neither team has been able to run the ball effectively.   Toledo with 47 yards rushing and Missouri with just 29.   Mizzou quarterback James Franklin is 13/18 for 178 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception
