18 Missouri Counties have been included in a major disaster declaration by the President in response to severe weather and flooding in the first two weeks of August. Public assistance is available in those counties for local governments and nonprofit agencies to seek recovery assistance.

The counties in the declaration are Barry, Camden, Cedar, Dade, Dallas, Laclede, Maries, McDonald, Miller, Osage, Ozark, Phelps, Pulaski, Shannon, Taney, Texas, Webster and Wright.

An estimated 18-million dollars in damage was done in those counties.
