South Carolina has won the last three matchups between these two SEC East rivals, yet the past two years, Georgia has been able to overcome those losses to win the division. Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald and writer of the blog, DogBytesOnline.com, says Georgia can ill-afford to think that way again.

The Bulldogs lost their top receiver to an injury while celebrating a touchdown in their 38-35 loss at Clemson, they started six new players on defense, including three true freshman and their regular kicker is still suspended for a boating DUI.

The Gamecocks appear to be in better shape coming off their 27-10 win over North Carolina. Phil Kornblut of South Carolina Radio Network and Sportstalksc.com says Steve Spurrier will try to run the ball, play a gritty game and hope the defense can put pressure on Aaron Murray.
