The St. Louis Rams have signed DE Eugene Sims to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Tuesday.  Sims is in his fourth year with the Rams and was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2013 season. His new contract runs through the 2015 campaign.

In his first three seasons in St. Louis, Sims has appeared 38 games and started two. He recorded 3.0 sacks last season to go along with an interception, 36 tackles, seven quarterback pressures and nine quarterback hits. Sims plays a key role on a defensive line that helped St. Louis tie for the NFL lead in sacks last season.
