Blaine Gabbert won the Jacksonville Jaguars’ starting quarterback job.  He will not play the rest of the preseason, because of a hairline fracture in his right thumb. Gabbert won’t need surgery, but will wear a protection while he heals.  Gabbert will be back in time to face the Chiefs in week 1 of the season.  Gabbert has completed 54 percent of his passes for 3,876 yards, with 21 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He is 5-19 as a starter.
