The Miami Marlins scored the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning this afternoon, and tacked on two more in the ninth for a 5-2 win over the Royals, who had their streak of seven straight winning series come to an end.

The Royals were leading 2-1 when Koyie Hill doubled off reliever Tim Collins to start the seventh. Christian Yelich then hit a grounder  that utility man Elliot Johnson let through his legs at third, putting runners on second and third with nobody out. Donovan Solano and K.C. native Logan Morrison followed with RBI groundouts to give the Marlins the lead.

Steve Cishek worked the ninth for Miami for his 26th save and 21st in a row. The Royals threatened with Eric Hosmer and Billy Butler reaching base, but Cishek struck out Alex Gordon, the potential tying run to end the game.
